About Lukas Schneider

Leipzig keeps me switching tools, which is how I stay awake. Some weeks I am at the forge, making parts that have to fit. Some weeks I am drawing figures until the proportions stop arguing with me. Cartooning is not a joke I tack on at the end. It is where I test whether a face can be read from across a room. Expressionist painting is where I stop being polite about color. I do not rank these. A good day is any day I finish something a stranger could understand without a speech from me. The studio smells like ink and hot metal, depending on the door you open.
