About Nattapong Srisawat

I work in Chiang Mai, usually with the shutters half open so the heat stays outside and the light stays soft. Metal is the part of the day that asks for patience: heating, cooling, looking again before I commit. Painting is the other half, when I want a slower record of the river, the hills, and the rooms I know by heart. I am not chasing a signature look. I am trying to make objects and pictures that feel like this place without turning it into a postcard. People sometimes ask if the work is traditional. It is local, which is a better word. Come by the studio if you are nearby. I will probably have dust on my hands.
