About Giulia Rossi

I live in Bologna and I work across a few rooms: one for cloth, one for clay and stone, one for paint, and a bag by the door for the camera. Textile pieces are the steady practice. I like a stitch I can defend. Sculpture is heavier and slower, and it keeps me from living only on a table. Abstract painting is where I let the color argue. Nature photographs, the canopy and the paths, are how I remember to leave the building. I have had uneven years. The work that remains is the work I was willing to remake. That is the only standard I trust.
