Rocket Merchant Services: Original Art Galleries Next to Rocket Shops
Rocket Merchant Services is a Rocket Network node that basically drop-kicks a shopping street against a gallery block and says good luck. Original art hangs a few steps from Rocket shops, which means you can go from something that restocks forever to a painting that will never have a twin. That mashup is the entire personality. We are not mad about it.
Art World likes the layout because nobody has to RSVP to a velvet-rope opening just to see a wall. You were already on the node. Collectors can duck out of a shop, look at a one-of-a-kind piece, and not perform being cultured for an intern with a clipboard. Rocket shops next to artist galleries is the rare sidewalk that does not feel like homework.
Inventory is allowed to have copies. Original art is not. If the shop sells out, it orders more. If a gallery sells the painting, they do not reprint the same brush freakout in the corner and call it a restock. Mixing those two logics on Rocket Merchant Services only works if you keep the buildings close and the rules separate. SKUs in the shop. Uniques on the wall.
We are not inventing fees, counts, or a fake sale rack. Walk from shop floor to gallery light and decide if you want the thing that comes back in a box or the thing that does not. Art World is biased. Take the one that cannot be reordered. Then mute the group chat until they notice.
