The worst canvas photos on Art World appear to have been taken in a bunker. Open a curtain. Shoot the front, the edge, the signature, and the verso. If the verso looks like a geologic sample, that is still better than hiding it.
Collectors should reward this. Four honest photos beat one heroic close-up and a description that says stunning!! with two marks. Exclamation points are not a certificate.
